Can you join Nurses & Midwives Health?

Nurses & Midwives Health is a restricted membership health fund. You may be able to join us if you're a member of:

  • the nursing or midwifery community
  • and a relevant union

Relatives of eligible members can also join. 

Nurses & midwives

We're open to people who are, or have been, in any of the roles listed here (who are, or have been union members):

registered nurse or midwife
enrolled nurse
nurse practitioner
psychiatric nurse
mothercraft nurse
assistant in nursing or midwifery
nursing student undergoing training, student nurse or trainee enrolled nurse
employees providing, or assisting in the provision of, nursing care or services (or both)

If you're lucky enough to be related to a Nurses & Midwives Health primary member (who meets the above criteria), you can join the fund too. This includes:

sibling – and their partner and/or dependant child(ren)
grandchild – and their partner and/or dependant child(ren)
parent.
