The final steps in the merger between Nurses & Midwives Health and Teachers Health will start at the end of June. Here are three updates to be aware of:
1. Membership cards
Current Nurses & Midwives Health membership cards will no longer work from 30 June 2022, so we’ll start mailing new ones from 4 July via priority paid. Once yours arrives, simply replace your old card with the new one and you can start claiming right away.
Check your postal address
We encourage you to visit Online Member Services (before 30 June) to ensure your postal address is up to date. Go to My membership > Contact details and click Edit to make a change.
If there’s more than one adult on your membership, please note that all cards are sent to the primary member.
Then check your mailbox (but not right away)
Australia Post is still experiencing delays (thank you, COVID!) so please allow until 18 July 2022 for your new card to arrive.
2. Online Member Services & member app
We’ll be updating Online Member Services and our member app between 8:30pm on 30 June and 10:45pm on 3 July. There’ll be no access to either during this time.
3. Claiming through HICAPS
On-the-spot claiming via HICAPS will also be unavailable from 8:30pm on 30 June. You'll be able to claim again via HICAPS once you receive your new membership card which we'll send, priority paid, from 4 July.
