Nurses & Midwives Health and Teachers Health

Looking to the future

We’re pleased to announce that we will be merging with Australia’s largest industry-based health fund, Teachers Health, effective 1 January 2022.

The decision to merge with Teachers Health was made to secure the long-term future of Nurses & Midwives Health.

While the merger will see us operate as one health fund, Nurses & Midwives Health will retain its unique identity and branding. The strength of the Nurses & Midwives Health brand will continue to flourish and our commitment to supporting the health insurance needs of Australia’s nurses, midwives, and their families will remain as strong as ever.

As always, we’ll work closely with our Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) union partners to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our members.

What it means for members

Improved products
Some of our products will be changing, however you can rest assured there won’t be any detrimental changes to products or pricing. We'll provide more information on that soon.

All for nurses and midwives
We’ll have the same branding and commitment to supporting the health needs of Australia’s nurses and midwives.

Business as usual
Members can expect the same service and support. In fact, members will notice little difference to their day-to-day interactions with us.

Competitive pricing
The merger is designed to keep products competitively priced and provide ongoing value for our members.

Members first, always
Like Nurses & Midwives Health, Teachers Health is a not-for-profit, member-focused organisation. Great minds think alike.

Strength in numbers
Members will benefit from the experience and economies of scale that come with being part of Australia’s largest industry-based health fund.

Keeping costs low
Streamlining administrative processes means we can reduce expenses and focus on giving more back to members.

What’s next?

Nurses & Midwives Health is still here for you!

We’ll be in contact ahead of the merger to provide information regarding your cover and pricing. In the meantime, you can continue to claim and contact us as usual.
