What’s happening?

Our agreement with Toowoomba Private Day Hospital is set to end on 2 February 2026.

While we hope to reach a new agreement, we always give you 50 days’ notice before a hospital agreement is due to end.

Toowoomba Private Day Hospital is one of three facilities in the Toowoomba region where you can access same-day surgical care.

Why is the agreement ending?

The current contract recently came up for renewal and, unfortunately, the hospital chose not to renew it.

We're sorry about any impact this potential change may have on you. We've successfully resolved hospital contract issues before existing agreements expired in the past and are doing our best to achieve the same result with Toowoomba Private Day Hospital.

What hospital do they operate?

The group operates Toowoomba Private Day Hospital in Queensland.

I have treatment booked there. What does this mean for me?

There’ll be no change if your hospital admission is: 

• Before 2 February 2026
• Pre-booked before 2 February 2026 for an admission before 2 August 2026
• An emergency admission up to and including 1 May 2026.

I'm already being treated at Toowoomba Private Day Hospital. Can I continue?

There's no change for ongoing courses of treatment (that’s already started) up until and including 1 August 2026.

If your treatment is scheduled past 2 August 2026, please speak to your specialist about alternative hospitals.

Can I still claim for treatment at Toowoomba Private Day Hospital?

You can still claim for admissions at Toowoomba Private Day Hospital, but as with any non-agreement hospital treatment you may have significant out-of-pocket costs.

The hospital would need to explain these to you and get your informed financial consent (in writing) to those charges.

Alternatively, you may want to seek treatment at a hospital we do have an agreement with. This can help you access a high standard of care with minimal out-of-pocket costs.
