New for 2020

Here are the increased benefits on Top Extras, Essential Extras and StarterPak, from 1 April 2020*.

Top Extras

If you're on Top Extras, this is what's changing on 1 April 2020:

  • Major Dental (crowns) – the benefit for item 671 will go from $630 to $730, and item 672 from $650 to $750.

  • Occupational Therapy (group therapy) – this new benefit includes group sessions like social skills training, rehabilitation/therapy groups and paediatric groups. The benefit is $20 per session with an annual limit of $300 (a sub-limit of the overall $500 limit for Occupational Therapy).

  • Healthy Lifestyle – this benefit has gone up from 75% to 100% of the cost (to a maximum of $200 per year). 

  • Artificial Aids and Appliances – higher sub-limits on the below items to support members through stressful health incidents. To claim, complete and submit an Aids and Appliances form.

Essential Extras

On Essential Extras? These are your increases from 1 April 2020:

  • Podiatry – we know our teachers spend a lot of time on their feet, so we’re raising the annual Podiatry limit from $200 to $300.

  • Healthy Lifestyle – we’re increasing the amount you can claim from 75% to 100% of the cost (to a maximum of $150 per year). 

StarterPak

If you have StarterPak, from 1 April 2020* you'll get an increase on:

  • Healthy Lifestyle – we’re increasing the amount you can claim from 75% to 100% of the cost (to a maximum of $150 per person and $300 per family each year).
